Richaven provided architectural, historic preservation, and building envelope services for the rehabilitation of this National Register Listed medical facility at the VA American Lake campus. Built in 1947, the Spanish Baroque building is undergoing seismic retrofit and a full rehabilitation, including restoration of exterior envelope materials such as clay tile roofing, stucco siding, stone window and door surrounds. Mr. Rich led a team of sub-consultants to complete exterior envelope condition assessment, materials analysis, restoration designs, and cultural resources Inadvertent Discovery Plan, Preservation Plan, and Section 106 consultation. This project is ongoing and expected to be complete in 2028.
