Bogue Visitor Center – Roof Rehabilitation

Formerly the Gig Harbor Public Library, this 1960 mid-century modern building features a minimalist post and beam structure with infill windows, exposing the simple wood wall and roof structure.
The City of Gig Harbor Public Works Department (City) contracted with Richaven to complete the rehabilitation of the Bogue Visitor’s Center, including re-roofing the single-story gabled building.


Richaven provided architectural and construction administration
services for the replacement of the roof and HVAC heat pump
system, including cost estimating services. Richaven worked
with the City to facilitate design through construction document
services for the replacement of the Bogue Building roof and
oversight for the heat pump mechanical system replacement,
including Value Engineering and Constructability Review. Services
also included project administration, discipline coordination,
provided probable construction cost, contract administration,
field observations, measurements, and documentation activities.
