The Broadway Bound Children’s Theater has made its home in the University Heights Community Center for years and has begun planning for expansion of their program to a new venue where they could produce their own shows as well as host other performing arts organizations. The Seattle Parks and Recreation owned Building 47 Theater in the Magnuson Park Historic District was a venue BBCT had performed in before so it was a logical choice.
Richaven has been contracted by BBCT to help compete for selection and is currently supporting the team with planning documents and negotiations with Seattle Parks and recreation. The process includes master planning for both immediate improvements as well as long term plans for modifications that will help to better accommodate their academic and performance operations.
