Name: Riesselman Residence
Location: near Carnation, Washington
Size: 5,400 SF
Cost: $750,000
Completed: 1989

This ultra-modern residence was set on the top of a bluff on the east side of the Snoqualmie River Valley.  The view extended from Mt. Rainier to the south all the way to the Olympic Mountains in the west.  To take advantage of the view, the house was conceived as a classic squeeze-pop sequence from the entry to the main living spaces.  The dodecahedron plan allocated wedges of space to a function and wedges were larger or smaller depending on the relative importance of the space.
